The primary mission
of the PM SIG is to promote the use of formal process
models. To that end, the goals of the PM SIG are:
- Promote the
use and implementation of OMG process metamodel
specifications.
- Harmonize
the various OMG process metamodels, with an initial
focus on BPDM and SPEM.
- Work to
identify and establish relationships with other
organizations related to process engineering.
- Provide a
focal point for users world-wide to express their
requirements related to process modeling.
- Find ways
to leverage the various quality and maturity models
with OMG specifications.
